| Entry qualification | Minimum 3-year bachelor's degree (or higher) A minimum three-year undergraduate degree is required. Learn more about how the preliminary evaluation of your application takes place PLEASE NOTE: Admission to this master’s degree programme is subject to the satisfaction of specific minimum curricular requirements and the possession of a minimum CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 2.8/4.0, or 70%. In order for you to be an eligible candidate, the academic content of your previous university studies must be coherent with and relevant to the coursework of this master’s degree programme. More specifically, you must have obtained at least 36 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System credits) or the equivalent (no less than 20% of your entire coursework) in the following fields (all indicated fields are mandatory):
A minimum B1-level knowledge of a second language (Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese or Brazilian, Russian, OR Spanish) is also required for admission. A Teaching Committee will evaluate your undergraduate transcript of records to determine if you satisfy the curricular requirements listed above. The Teaching Committee will also examine your CV in order to establish your possession of adequate personal preparation. The Teaching Committee reserves the right to conduct an integrative interview, in case the minimum curricular requirements are not fully met or your personal preparation cannot be unequivocally assessed. PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
This Comparative International Relations programme is the only one in Italy focused on International Relations that provides you with a rich understanding of international law and economics while deepening your knowledge of languages and foreign cultures.
It immerses you in linguistic and cultural studies regarding Europe, Asia and the Atlantic world, something Ca’ Foscari has done since its founding in 1868, and empowers you to explore, understand and analyse international relations through juridical, economic, historical and political lenses. By the end of the programme, you will be able to fluently communicate in both English and a second language as well as elaborate coherent strategies aimed at solving problems on an international scale.
This programme offers 2 curricula, or study paths, entirely taught in English from which to choose:
Programme structure
This programme includes the following components:
- course work
- curricular internship
- final thesis
You can request to spend one or two semesters at a partner university through Ca’ Foscari’s exchange programmes, and your curricular internship can be carried out either in Italy or abroad.
