APPLICATION FEE PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS

In order to apply for admission to Ca’ Foscari in the 2024/2025 academic year as an international student, there is a non-refundable application fee of 30 euros.

You will be unable to submit your application for evaluation until you have paid the fee.

After you have filled in all of the fields marked as mandatory in the “Profile” section of your application, you will be able to pay your fee by clicking on the link found in the application fee task of your application on apply.unive.it.

This link takes you to the Italian national online payment platform called PagoPA. If you have filled out all of the information required in the “Profile” section of your application — including the calculation and insertion of your virtual Italian fiscal code — then you will immediately be able to proceed with the payment. If you are asked to insert personal information, it is because you did not complete all of the fields in your “Profile” section of your application on apply.unive.it and must do so again.

Select the English version of the page at the top right. You will see two red buttons at the bottom. You must click on the one called “Start Online Payment” (the “Create Payment Slip” button only works for those who live in Italy).

You will now be allowed to choose from a couple of payment methods, including credit/debit cards or PayPal. (Please note: you may have to pay a small surcharge to the service provider to proceed with the payment, so the total cost may be slightly more than 30 euros.)

PLEASE NOTE: if your first attempt to make the payment proves unsuccessful, you can try selecting one of the other financial intermediaries that can facilitate the payment. It is possible that your credit card is not recognised by the defaulting intermediary, Worldline.

Once your online payment has been made successfully, you will receive a confirmation email informing you. At this point, YOU MUST ONCE AGAIN CLICK THE LINK FOUND IN THE APPLICATION FEE TASK of your application on apply.unive.it to complete the process to transform your application fee task status from “NOT PAID” to “PAID”. Once your status is indicated as “PAID”, you will be able to proceed with the submission of your application when you are ready to do so!

Please do NOT write us an email to communicate that you have made your payment. This information is communicated to us automatically. If you experience a problem, we kindly ask that you first re-read this article to ensure that you have followed each step indicated.

EXEMPTION CASES

You are exempt from paying the 30-euro application fee if you are:

  • a student who is enrolled in another programme offered by Ca’ Foscari in the academic year preceding the one for which you are applying for admission (e.g. Foundation Year, Marco Polo Programme, professional master’s programmes, single courses, etc.);
  • an exchange student who has carried out or will carry out a mobility period at Ca’ Foscari through an existing exchange agreement with their Home University before the academic year for which you are applying for admission;
  • a student with official refugee status in a Schengen Area country;
  • candidates applying to a Bachelor’s degree programme of the Department of Economics and Department of Management, holding a SAT with a total score equal to or higher than 1200.

To benefit from the exemption, you will have to upload documentation proving your status to your online application form (e.g. certificate of enrolment to one of the programmes, transcript of records, SAT score report, residency permit).
Once this documentation has been uploaded, you must then insert a specific reference code in your online application on apply.unive.it. You can do so after registering on the platform by clicking on your name in the upper right corner of the page that appears in your personal area and then selecting the option “Have a reference code?”, where you will insert the code APPFEE_exemption. Please note that it may take up to 7 working days for the fee to be removed from your application while we check the documentation you have provided: make sure to insert the reference code in time for the validation to be carried out!
