Non-Europan applicants who have applied for a degree program taught in Italian language without any of the Italian B2 level language certificates recognized by our university, must take and pass an Italian language test before completing the enrolment procedure.

Ca’ Foscari University of Venice organises Italian language tests for the 2021/22 academic year so to check B2 level of Italian language.
All successful applicants will receive a letter stating that their Italian language assessment has a positive outcome and might use it to apply for the Italian visa for study purposes (if required) and for enrollment (only at Ca’ Foscari University).

Candidates who already hold a recognized Italian language proficiency certificate with at least a B2 level, do not have to take the Italian language tests. Check the Recognized certifications webpage for more information.

The relevant applicants will be personally contacted in order to participate in the tests about two weeks in advance.
They are required to take and pass a written online test AND an oral exam (to be taken via Skype) on the following schedule:
First and second round of applications
19-23 April 2021: online test
27-30 April 2021: Skype interview

Third and fourth round of applications
19-23 July 2021: online test
27-29 July 2021: Skype interview

Please note: online tests will open at midnight and close at 12:00 PM CEST.
Skype interviews will be scheduled for applicants who take the online test only and they will be communicated via email at the end of the online test sessions.

Applicants who will be contacted will receive information via email on how to access the platform for the online test and a syllabus with information about the content of the exams.

In order to access the platform, candidates must have an account on our institution’s website (note: keep in mind that the account on is different!):

  • Register on the unive website. Note: foreign citizens already holding a valid Italian ID and fiscal code must enter the website with their SPID account.
  • Create your unive account: 1. Insert your fiscal code (use the “Virtual Italian tax code” on your application on; 2. Insert your email address (type the same used for the registration); 3. On “You can carry out these procedures if you are” select “a foreign citizen not holding a valid Italian document and the Italian official fiscal code”.
  • Access the Moodle platform following the instruction received by email.
