Language requirements | English A minimum B2-level knowledge of English is required. Please make sure you upload one of the certifications we recognise as proof of your language level. Please note: Ca’ Foscari does not conduct a test to assess your knowledge of English as part of the application procedure. If you do not satisfy this requirement at the moment of enrolment, you will be assigned an Additional Learning Requirement, or ALR, in English (Obbligo Formativo Aggiuntivo – OFA) that must be satisfied by the end of your first year of study (deadline of September 30) by passing an exam. Passing the ALR exam may be necessary in order to take other exams included in your study plan. |

Other requirements | Admission to this programme requires knowledge of mathematics, logic, and reading comprehension skills, which we assess via an online written test called the TOLC-I. The test is offered by the test provider CISIA, and it can be taken in English or in Italian.
Those who do not sit the test before enrolment OR score less than 20 out of 40 (excluding the English and Sciences sections) will be assigned an Additional Learning Requirement, or ALR, in mathematics and logic (Obbligo Formativo Aggiuntivo – OFA). The ALR must be satisfied by the end of the first year of study (deadline of October 1) by passing an exam; if this does not occur, it will not be possible to register for any of the course exams included in the programme’s official study plan. Overview
OVERVIEW
The thorough theoretical and experimental knowledge of computer science that this programme offers has been recognised as outstanding by several Italian professional associations. The degree provides you with core conceptual competencies in informatics, as well as analytical, planning and development skills, methodological and technological know-how and other professional skills.
This programme offers 3 curricula, or study paths, of which the Data Science curriculum is entirely taught in English. This curriculum centers around mastering programming languages and algorithms, emphasizing their practical application in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization. It also explores more advanced domains such as machine learning, data mining, and big data technologies.

The programme includes workshop activities and experimentation as well as a knowledge of English, especially the technical language used in relation to ICT.
DOUBLE DEGREE OPPORTUNITY
Once in your second year, it is also possible to apply to shift into the double degree track in European Computer Science, which allows high-achieving students to carry out their final year of study at one of a number of partner institutions in Germany, Spain, France, Finland, Portugal and Romania.
