In order for you to be an eligible candidate, the academic content of your previous university studies must be coherent with and relevant to the coursework of this master’s degree programme. Generally, candidates who possess (or will possess) a university qualification in one of the following fields satisfy the academic prerequisites for admission: Biotechnologies; Information Technology Engineering; Industrial Engineering; Biology; Chemistry; Physics; Diagnostics and Materials for Conservation and Restoration; Biotechnologies; Information Technology; Technologies for the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage. More specifically, you must have obtained at least 60 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System credits) or the equivalent (i.e. no less than 1/3 of your coursework) in one or more of the following specific fields:

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
If you are interested in nanotechnology, then this programme equips you with the knowledge of material science, chemistry and biology that becoming an expert in the design and synthesis of new bio- and nanomaterials requires.
The Science and Technology of Bio and Nanomaterials programme pairs traditional lectures and laboratory classes that teach you how to prepare bio- and nanomaterials and to explore their chemical-physical characteristics, properties, methods of preparation and applications.
During your studies, you are given the chance to carry out an internship and learn on the job at research laboratories and companies both in Italy and abroad.

Programme structure

You can apply to carry out the double degree outlined above, which would involve spending one of the two years of study at a partner university. Alternatively, you can request to spend one or two semesters abroad through Ca’ Foscari’s exchange programmes.
Your curricular internship can be carried out either in Italy or abroad.
