You are exempted from needing to provide evidence of your proficiency in Italian if: Chinese Marco Polo students can provide language certification indicating either a B1- or a B2-level knowledge of Italian. Chinese Marco Polo students enrolling with a certified B1-level knowledge of Italian must achieve a certified B2-level knowledge of the language by the end of the first year of their studies. Overview
This European, American and Postcolonial Language and Literature degree allows you to deepen your knowledge and understanding of the languages, literatures, and cultures of specific European, American or postcolonial contexts thanks to multiple study paths that allow a focus on French, German, Iberian, American, Slavic or Balkan studies.
You develop both an advanced knowledge of the literary history and culture of your chosen focal region while simultaneously strengthening your skills in one of the languages that you study. As a result of collaborations with foreign universities that even allow you to obtain a joint/double degree, the programme is markedly international in nature.

You can apply to carry out the double degree outlined above, which would involve spending one of the two years of study at a partner university. Alternatively, you can request to spend one or two semesters abroad through Ca’ Foscari’s exchange programmes.
Your curricular internship can be carried out either in Italy or abroad.
