Bachelor's diploma (or higher)
A minimum three-year undergraduate degree is required.
Admission to this master’s degree programme is subject to your possession of specific minimum curricular requirements. A Teaching Committee will evaluate your undergraduate transcript of records to determine if you possess the necessary background knowledge to be admitted. Please check this programme’s minimum curricular requirements to find out if you could be a suitable candidate.
If the provided documentation is not enough for the Teaching committee to adequately verify whether you own the minimum curricular requirements for accessing into this programme, you might be asked to provide a C1 level certification in the language of specialisation, in order for them to correctly ascertain your personal preparation. If you do not hold one of the recognized certifications, you can be tested at our University Language Centre.
The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Italian.
If your documents are not in English or Italian, please upload the original documentation or a verified copy of it AS WELL AS a professional translation in English or Italian. You can obtain professional translations either in your country or in Italy, and they can be issued by professional translators, a local court of law or court interpreters.
You can apply to this programme even if you have yet to obtain a language certification, but in order to complete your enrolment you will need to provide one or take a preliminary Italian language test organised either on Skype or on campus before the academic year begins.
You are exempted from needing to provide evidence of your proficiency in Italian if:
Chinese Marco Polo students can provide language certification indicating either a B1- or a B2-level knowledge of Italian. Chinese Marco Polo students enrolling with a certified B1-level knowledge of Italian must achieve a certified B2-level knowledge of the language by the end of the first year of their studies.
Please note: Ca’ Foscari University does not conduct any test to assess your knowledge of English as part of the application procedure.
At least 1 reference(s) should be provided.
A motivation letter must be added to your application.
Please note that admission to this degree program requires a successful evaluation by the teaching committee of the student’s minimum curricular requirements.
This European, American and Postcolonial Language and Literature degree allows you to deepen your knowledge and understanding of the languages, literatures, and cultures of specific European, American or postcolonial contexts thanks to multiple study paths that allow a focus on French, German, Iberian, American, Slavic or Balkan studies.
