You are exempted from needing to provide evidence of your proficiency in Italian if: Chinese Marco Polo students can provide language certification indicating either a B1- or a B2-level knowledge of Italian. Chinese Marco Polo students enrolling with a certified B1-level knowledge of Italian must achieve a certified B2-level knowledge of the language by the end of the first year of their studies. Overview
This programme allows you to achieve proficiency in an Asian or North African language and helps you acquire an in-depth knowledge of the economic, legal, historical and political aspects of the relevant geographical area. You will also acquire a knowledge of sociolinguistic and communication processes as well as a familiarity with IT and electronic means of communication.

Programme structure
This programme includes the following components:

- curricular internship
- final thesis
You can request to spend one or two semesters at a partner university through Ca’ Foscari’s exchange programmes.
Your curricular internship can be carried out either in Italy or abroad.
