| Language requirements | English Italian ITALIAN You can apply to this programme even if you have yet to obtain a language certification, but in order to complete your enrolment you will need to provide one or take a preliminary Italian language test organised either on Skype or on campus before the academic year begins. You are exempted from needing to provide evidence of your proficiency in Italian if: Chinese Marco Polo students can provide language certification indicating either a B1- or a B2-level knowledge of Italian. Chinese Marco Polo students enrolling with a certified B1-level knowledge of Italian must achieve a certified B2-level knowledge of the language by the end of the first year of their studies. - Performing Arts and Media Studies
The programme incorporates both historic and artistic aspects because working in the field of cultural heritage requires you to have an in-depth knowledge of a specific historical context. Depending on the curriculum you choose, you also acquire methodological skills in management (legislation), conservation (restauration, maintenance, prevention), documentation (cataloguing, graphic reproduction), promotion (project design, finding resources and funding, financial planning) and cultural heritage.
Programme structure
This programme includes the following components:

- curricular internship
- final thesis
You can request to spend one or two semesters at a partner university through Ca’ Foscari’s exchange programmes.
Your curricular internship can be carried out either in Italy or abroad.
Career opportunities
Graduates can find employment in local government and with agencies involved in the protection, conservation and management of archaeological and historical-artistic heritage or the in promotion of artistic events, the performing arts and the culture industry.
