Overview
This European, American and Postcolonial Language and Literature degree allows you to deepen your knowledge and understanding of the languages, literatures, and cultures of specific European, American or postcolonial contexts thanks to multiple study paths that allow a focus on French, German, Iberian, American, Slavic or Balkan studies.
You develop both an advanced knowledge of the literary history and culture of your chosen focal region while simultaneously strengthening your skills in one of the languages that you study. As a result of collaborations with foreign universities that even allow you to obtain a joint/double degree, the programme is markedly international in nature.

Double Degree available
There is another curriculum available, called English and American Studies, that is reserved for students of the European Joint Master’s Programme in English and American Studies. Students can apply on a different portal managed by a consortium of partner Universities during the 3rd year of undergraduate studies.
Please note that the curriculum English and American Studies is different from the path in American studies of the curriculum Literatures and Cultures.
Programme structure
This programme includes the following components:

- curricular internship
- final thesis
You can request to spend one or two semesters at a partner university through Ca’ Foscari’s exchange programmes.
Your curricular internship can be carried out either in Italy or abroad.
