High school / secondary education (or higher)
Students must have attended school for at least 12 years.
The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Italian.
If your documents are not in English or Italian, please upload the original documentation or a verified copy of it AS WELL AS a professional translation in English or Italian. You can obtain professional translations either in your country or in Italy, and they can be issued by professional translators, a local court of law or court interpreters.
You can apply to this programme even if you have yet to obtain a language certification, but in order to complete your enrolment you will need to provide one or take a preliminary Italian language test organised either on Skype or on campus before the academic year begins.
You are exempted from needing to provide evidence of your proficiency in Italian if:
Chinese Marco Polo students can provide language certification indicating either a B1- or a B2-level knowledge of Italian. Chinese Marco Polo students enrolling with a certified B1-level knowledge of Italian must achieve a certified B2-level knowledge of the language by the end of the first year of their studies.
If you do not satisfy this requirement at the moment of enrolment, you will be assigned an Additional Learning Requirement, or ALR, in English (Obbligo Formativo Aggiuntivo – OFA) that must be satisfied by the end of your first year of study (deadline of September 30) by passing an exam. Passing the ALR exam may be necessary in order to take other exams included in your study plan.
This is a limited-admission programme that requires you to take an entry test.
Additional information for non-EU applicants:
Specific requirements for Non-EU applicants:
If you are accepted for enrolment in this programme as a result of a Skype entry test, you will be automatically assigned an Additional Learning Requirement, or ALR, in mathematics (Obbligo Formativo Aggiuntivo, or OFA) to be recovered by the end of your first year of study (deadline of September 30).
In order to take exams in mathematics, statistics, economics and business, you must have already satisfied the ALR by passing an exam. However, if you have a SAT section score of at least 535 out of 800 on the SAT Math test or a GMAT score of at least 42 out of 60 on the GMAT Quantitative test, your ALR in mathematics is automatically satisfied.
Moreover, all non-EU students (even those holding an Italian language certification and those who passed Ca’ Foscari’s Italian test) will be assigned an Additional Learning Requirement, or ALR, in Italian (Obbligo Formativo Aggiuntivo – OFA) that must be satisfied by the end of your first year of study (deadline of September 30) by passing an exam. Passing the ALR exam may be necessary in order to take other exams included in your study plan.
