Overview

This programme provides you with the foundation for carrying out historical, anthropological, social and documentary research in different historical periods.

  • Antrophology
  • Archive and Library Studies
  • History – From European Hegemony to Globalization
  • History – The Mediterranean World from Antiquity to the Middle Ages

Based on the curriculum you choose, the programme introduces you to ancient, Roman, medieval, modern or contemporary history as well as to aspects of anthropology and geography. The anthropological, archival and historical approaches employed will allow you to explore other fields as well. Thanks to the skills that the degree helps you to acquire, you are prepared to launch a career in a variety of fields, including cultural heritage management, communication, cultural event organisation and publishing.

Programme structure

This programme includes the following components:

  • course work
  • curricular internship
  • final thesis

You can request to spend one or two semesters at a partner university through Ca’ Foscari’s exchange programmes.
Your curricular internship can be carried out either in Italy or abroad.

Career opportunities

Graduates are equipped either to continue on to graduate studies or to seek employment at public or private institutions connected to the study or preservation of history.
